When you’re looking to buy a home, there are three main factors to consider.
1- The Purchase Price
2- The Condition of the Home
3- The Location
Generally speaking, when purchasing a home, you can have two of these three factors. You can have the price and condition you want, but not the location. You can have the condition and location you want, but not the price… etc.
So, when you do want to buy, know that if the price is the most important thing to you, you may have to compromise on the location or the condition. If you care most about a home that is move-in ready, you may need to spend more money or be further away than your perfect neighborhood.
Figure out what you NEED the most on this list of factors, then decide which of the remaining two factors is a want that you can compromise on.
I have a previous client who told me that picturing these three factors this way was a game-changer in deciding what she could compromise on and made allll the difference when deciding on the next home for her family.
Hope this gives you a new perspective as you hunt for your next home, too!
