Selling a Home that’s Less than 5 Years Old

Did you know that it can be surprisingly difficult to sell a newer home (definition here: under five years old) IF the builder who built your home is still building homes in your community.

Why?

People are willing to pay slightly more to have something brand new that can be customized, rather than buying something that has bee lived in for a few years. This makes it difficult to sell a home that is new, but just not brand new.

I mean, wouldn’t YOU spend $20 more a month for a brand new home rather than one that had been lived in?
