The answer to this one depends on your home!
If you live in a home that is valued at less than $400,000 or else is a condo, then your potential buyer is much less likely to have school aged children, and thereby not controlled by the school calendar. This means that your buyer most likely be motivated by their own personal calendar (recently married, extra time over Christmas break, just had a baby, etc.) and won’t be as affected by the yearly calendar. So, if your house is in this bracket, any time of year would be a good time to sell.
For single family homes over $400,000, your potential buyer is almost certainly someone with children who generally wants to move during the summer so as to not interrupt their children’s school schedule. Because of that, you can expect spring to be a good time to sell for you!
